This post has probably been written time and time again but it is essential for your financial health to get your annual credit report. Why? you may ask. You need to check for errors in order to have them removed from your credit report.

Believe it or not you can check your credit report annually through a government approved website called www.AnnualCreditReport.com . You do not have to sign up for annual monitoring as seen in the television commercials.

By law, you are allowed to receive one credit report annually from all three credit reporting bureaus.

Here is a Tip:

Rather than requesting all three at the same time. You should request one from each bureau every four months. That way you can check your credit report all year round. Be sure to dispute any items with the credit agency which you find incorrect.

Okay we all know the drill; you are now in college and you are looking for ways to save money right? Well, I am going to show you how you can achieve this. Read and learn:

You must realize text books are terribly expensive to purchase. So how can you avoid doing so? Well, go ahead and rent them from various sites listed below:

You can also do yourself a favor and check on once again, ebay or half.com to save on books. Another great source for finding deals on text books is craigslist.

2. Ditch your Car! Yes thats you. Make use of the bus.

Sounds silly right? What is college for, how would you get around. That is why every campus has the BUS. Get your yearly bus pass, some going for as little as $50 bucks and you are all set. With a car, you would have to pay monthly insurance fees and do  not forget that pesky little parking fee and parking tickets. Parking tickets add up once forgotten.

Here is how much you can potientially save: $4200 (for a $250/month vehicle with $100/month in insurance and fuel expenses)

3. Open a bank account with a low fee bank; Your school’s credit union should certainly suffice in this instance.

4. Avoid using ATM’s from banks other than yours.

Here is  how coupon clip experts save money using coupons! yes you too can do. You get to save a whole lot of money and live the rich life like I do!

Get a couple of different Sunday edition news papers; the reason for this is simply, each news paper comes with lots and lots of coupon inserts and each paper would have a different one. Maximize the amount of coupons you can use. Never mind the cost of the paper, you will save a whole lot more than what you spent purchasing them.

Print out coupons from internet websites. My favorites are:

Also watch out for mis priced  items. Certain stores will give you this item free if it rings up wrong. Seriously, I got a box of spaghetti free thanks to this mishap.

Finally you can send a nice letter to the manufacturer asking for coupons.
